Situated next door to the People’s Park, it is walking distance from most city attractions including the Id Kah mosque and the tomb of Yusup Has. Right outside the doors of this hotel is the famous Mao Statue which salutes you every time you enter or exit the hotel.  | Kashgar Chini Bagh Hotel - 其尼瓦克宾馆 144号 Seman Rd Kashgar+86 998 282 2103 Price: $ to $$$Chinese Pronunciation: qíní wăkè bīnguăn My Thoughts on the Kashgar Chini Bagh Hotel: The Chini Bagh hotel, formerly the British Consulate in Kashgar, is one of the most popular hotels in Kashgar for a reason. Here you can find pricey 3-star hotel rooms or dirt-cheap dorm rooms. Attached to the hotel you’ll find John’s Cafe, a great place to find some (quasi) western food or book tours. Other tour agencies can also be found on or near the premesis, including CITS – one of China’s largest tour companies.  | Kashgar Seman Hotel - 色满宾馆 337号 Seman Rd Kashgar+86 998 258 2129 Price: $ to $$$Chinese Pronunciation: sèmăn bīnguăn My Thoughts on the Kashgar Seman Hotel: Like the Chini Bagh above, this hotel was also a former Consulate (this one for Russia, not Britain) and it still retains that colonial feel. It also offers a wide array of rooms both expensive and cheap with architecture that matches its Russian roots.  | Kashgar Super 8 Hotel - 速8酒店 810号 Areya Road, Kashgar+86 108 550 2288 Price: $$Chinese Pronunciation: sùbā jiŭdiàn My Thoughts on the Kashgar Super 8 Hotel: There are actually two Super 8 locations in Kashgar (the other one is on West Renmin Rd) but I like this one because it is basically on the doorstep of the Old City. It doesn't have a lot of rooms and they aren't luxurious, but the price is right and the atmosphere, especially once you step foot outside, brings to mind pictures of the old Silk Road and ancient trade routes. | Hotel Rating: 6.8 / 10 Category: Mid-Range |
 | Kashgar Old Town Youth Hostel - 喀什老城青年旅馆 233号 Wusitang Boyi Rd, Kashgar+86 998 282 3262 Price: $Chinese Pronunciation: kāshí lăochéng qīngnián lǚguăn My Thoughts on the Kashgar Old Town Youth Hostel: Because it is situated in Kashgar’s Old City, it’s difficult to describe where this hostel is located. It is about 300m west of the Id Kah mosque on Wusitangboyi Rd and you will see a sign on the door that says “Youth Hostel”.  | Kashgar Maitian Youth Hostel - 麦田国际青年旅馆 726号 Youhao South Road, Kashi+86 998 280 1111 Price: $Chinese Pronunciation: màitián guójì qīngnián lǚguǎn My Thoughts on the Kashgar Maitian Hostel: Located more toward the east of town by the lake, the Maitian hostel has recently undergone a renovation. It's a quaint hostel with friendly staff, decent bed and an excellent price. It's near the bazaar but a little distance from the Id Kah mosque and the Old Town.  | Kashgar Pamir Youth Hostel - 帕米尔青年旅舍 726号 Youhao South Road, Kashi+86 998 282 3376 Price: $Chinese Pronunciation: pàmǐěr qīngnián lǚshè My Thoughts on the Kashgar Pamir Hostel: You can't miss the Id Kah mosque when you stay at the Pamir hostel! You're practically on the doorstep and can hear all the various calls to prayer from the imam each day. It's a great location with an inexpensive rate.
